(GSM Insider) - In Europe: iPhone 5 Transferred Largest Amount of Data, Follows by HTC Sensation XL and Samsung Galaxy S3.

Research company Arieso found on that the iPhone 5 transferred largest amount of data among European countries.

After observed more than 1 million 3G users for 24 hours, Arieso found out that iPhone 5 transferred most data which is three or four times of iPhone 3G and also twice more than the iPhone 4S. The second position belongs to HTC Sensation XL and follows by Samsung Galaxy S3, around 3 times more than iPhone 3G. 

The uploaded data and downloaded ratio is 1:6, which means users downloaded more than uploaded. Samsung Galaxy S3 uploaded the most data, follows by iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

In the past few days, there were some users stated that their Samsung Galaxy S3 suffered from sudden death issue. The sudden death issue occurred when charging over night and display suddenly turned black. 

Dutch website Tweakers stated that a bug fix able to solve the issue but the firmware must be coming real soon to prevent bricking the phone. 

Samsung stated that there are only limited numbers of Samsung Galaxy S3 users affected by this sudden death issue. Most of those affected users are using the 16GB model. So those with 32GB can have a peace of mind. 

Since the firmware already in works, it might coming in near future. After the firmware update, Samsung Galaxy S3 users can continue and enjoying a peace of mind at night.

Samsung Galaxy S3 64GB Model Cancelled By Clove, Not Heading To UK Anytime Soon

In the latest report from UK retailer Clove, they cancelled the plan for Samsung Galaxy S3 64GB model. The reason very simple: not enough orders on it. 

Since Clove UK stated that the Samsung Galaxy S3 64GB will only release if there are enough pre-orders. After two weeks, the pre-orders number yet to achieve so Clove UK cancelled the plan to bring it home. So this is the bad news for those living in that region.

At the moment, there are no plans from Clove UK yet. But who knows whats coming on next year.

(GSM Insider) - Seriously, I salute the work rate of Chinese people. With only HTC is the one among many world leading smartphone manufacturers to introduce the 1080p Full HD smartphone, there are many companies in China that interested and working on the 1080p device already. The latest is the Umi X2 that comes with 1080p Full HD display. 

Earlier today, Umi Mobile posted a photo at its official Weibo and teases on the upcoming Umi X2 device. "4.7 inch 1920 x 1080 pixels 440ppi AH-IPS Display", "12 mega-pixels camera", "1.5GHz quad-core process", "Bezel-less design and 7.6mm body". 

While you look at the image, it remind us Samsung Galaxy S3. Seriously, it looks like the Samsung Galaxy S3. But the specs are even better than the current Samsung Galaxy S3.

The mystery part will be the quad-core processor in the Umi X2. There are three possible alternatives for processor - Samsung Exynos 4412, Tegra 3 or Snapdragon S4 Pro. From these specs, the RAM should be 2GB and the at least Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on board. 

At the moment, Umi Mobile is yet to announce on the launch date of Umi X2. If you are interested to get Samsung Galaxy S3, why dont you wait for Samsung Galaxy S3 with Full HD display and 2GB of RAM?

Sony Plans To Introduce Smartphones That Same Level With iPhone 5 and Galaxy S3

(GSM Insider) - We knew that Sony Xperia smartphones are always with lower specs and outdated Android versions. When everyone talking about quad-core smartphone, Sony released only dual-core smartphones. When everyone talking about Android 4.1, it released smartphones with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Sony always gives us a perception that they are a level lower and a step behind in the smartphone market. But things likely to change soon.

“We will create in the near future a flagship model that can compete with Apple’s iPhone and Samsung’s Galaxy S III,” Sony CVP of Sales & Marketing, Dennis van Schie, said.

From this statement, we can understand that those smartphones must be high specs and packed with features in order to remain competitive. The Sony exec might refers to the Sony Yuga and Sony Odin that rumoured to feature 5 inches HD display and quad-core processor.

“We will bring in addition to the existing Xperia Tablet other Android tablets to the market, but not many,” said Van Schie.

He added that Sony is currently developing the Sony Xperia tablet and other brand Android tablet. But the quantity will not be the main as it focusing on quality instead. So we hope that Sony able to bring better specs and features tablets soon.

To conclude the interviews, he discussed on the "third" mobile operating system Windows Phone. “We have a good relationship with Microsoft and we are watching the development of Windows Phone closely. If it succeeds, we will not be caught off guard.”

In other words, Sony is yet to decide whether to develop Windows Phones in the short term. But if the Windows Phone able to bring success, Sony will look into it. Seems like Sony refused to rule out on Windows Phone development.

Basically, these three devices are having almost same specs with each other. Both Samsung with Exynos 4412 quad-core processor while the LG Nexus 4 with Snapdragon S4 pro quad-core. The RAM memory of LG Nexus 4 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 are the same at 2GB while Samsung Galaxy S3 at only 1GB. Both Samsung devices support microSD expansion but this is not available at the LG Nexus 4. We hardly can understand why Google never added this into the LG Nexus 4. LG Nexus 4 has the smallest display among all three with only 4.7 inches while Samsung Galaxy S3 at 4.8 inches and Note 2 at 5.5 inches. The best part of LG Nexus 4 is it features the Android 4.2 Jelly while the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean preloaded and Samsung Galaxy S3 with Android 4.0 ICS on board. LG Nexus 4 is the cheapest among all three devices in the United States as the price for other countries yet to announce.
