At the moment, the display of the iPhone is the IPS display while Samsung and LG are using the Organic LED in their devices. The Organic LED is commonly known as the OLED.

Recently, Apple has hired Dr. Jeung Jil Lee who was an expect of the OLED technology. He was a research fellow at LG Display and work at Cambridge Display Technology. 

If Apple isn't interested in the OLED display, then why it hires the senior expect that knew everything on OLED display? You think yourselves.
