Meizu Event Falls on November 13, It Could Be The Arrival of Meizu MX2

(GSM Insider) - Oh yes. Another date for new device announced - November 13, 2012. On this date, Meizu is going to reveal something new in China. There are huge possibilities that the device is the much rumoured Meizu MX2.


It has been a year since the last announcement of Meizu MX. It is the perfect time for the Meizu to unveil its new flagship when heading to year end holidays season. 

Earlier today, Meizu posted an image on its Weibo and stated the date for the event. The image stated that "November 13, are you ready?". Ok. We from the GSM Insider are ready for it for sure. How about you?

In the past few months, we had reporting the news on the Meizu MX2. No doubt about the existence of this device. A mysterious device with the name of Meizu M040 that with Jelly Bean on board spotted at benchmark as early as September. 

Soon, there were two images that leaked as well. It was said that the device is the Meizu MX2 that everybody looking forward. 

Two weeks before, an alleged front panel of Meizu MX2 leaked. It showed us the ultra thin bezel that made from IGZO display. 

Three days ago, the screenshot of Meizu MX2 posted by Meizu's JJ Wong at the forum. It revealed that Meizu MX2 coming with at least 720p resolution. 

From these information that we accumulate, we can predicted that the Meizu MX2 comes with a quad-core processor, at least 1GB of RAM and at least 4.5 inches of display with the resolution at 720p or above. It is possible that the display of Meizu MX2 made from IGZO display. 

Meizu M8 was one of the three devices along with Nokia N8 and BlackBerry Torch that mentioned by Apple after the case against Samsung. Apple mentioned that these three devices were not copied from them and everybody should learnt from them instead.
